Let’s Make a Deal!

Let’s Make a Deal!

Can I interest you in some Fall of Argenport cards? I have an exotic mechanic to reveal, so step right in and maybe we can work out a deal…

Maybe your opponent has a Sword of the Sky King, and you could really use a Ruin? Or perhaps, you’d like another threat, and a Crimson Firemaw would apply the perfect amount of pressure?

Either way, the Market may have what you need, so let’s take a look.

As long as you have something to offer, any of the Merchants will be glad to trade you for it, and you can pick anything you’d like out of the Market.

But how do you know the Market has good options? Well, if it doesn’t, you have nobody to blame but yourself.

  • When you add a Merchant to your deck, you will be given the option to make a five card Market, with max of one copy of each card.
  • You can only have four copies maximum of any non-Sigil card between your Market and your deck, so you have to decide if it’s worth stocking a particular card.

I keep saying Merchants, plural, so let me introduce you to the rest of the crew:

Your Markets can contain cards of any faction, but each Merchant can only grab cards of their own faction (though note that multi-faction cards can be fetched by any Merchant of any of their factions). If you want to go for the full bazaar, a deck with multiple different Merchants is definitely on the table.

Once you’ve added a Merchant to your deck, the possibilities are endless. Adding a full five more cards that you have access to only when you want them is a huge change, and you can get pretty wild as a result. Having sweet cards to get that you don’t need to draw normally is very different set of tools to have at your disposal, and that gives you a ton of flexibility in deckbuilding.

The Market will be opening soon – what are you going to buy?
